Annalise uses a client-centered and integrative approach, with a calm and grounded presence when working with clients. Through patience and curiosity, she works collaboratively with clients to find what works best for them as unique individuals. She believes in connection and the power of a trusted therapeutic relationship and its ability to allow us to begin to accept all parts of ourselves, even the ones that feel tougher to love.
Annalise’s intention is to bring her whole self into the room to create a sanctuary for clients to be their whole selves free of judgement. She is interested in getting to know the real client in all their different feelings, emotions, and experiences. She believes that when a client is faced with difficulty and challenges, a deep healing can happen through the relationship between client and therapist. Annalise seeks to create an authentic connection that will allow safety and trust to blossom.
Annalise has experience working with disordered eating and works with many types of problems, including life transitions, relationship issues, and spirituality. She is a LGBTQ affirming therapist, as well as factors such as age, socioeconomic status and the varying spectrum of disabilities. She embraces having cultural humility and ongoing education around working with clients of different ethnic and religious backgrounds. |
She is an integrative therapist that’s influenced by humanistic, gestalt, and psychodynamic approaches. She honors all aspects of the human experience and embrace the paradoxes of being alive including the joy, pain, laughter and tears. She views therapy as a creative process to begin to hold all these things at once.
