Angelina came to psychotherapy through her own healing journey and a lifelong pursuit of meaning, authenticity, and wholeness. Her path has been shaped by many lived experiences, motherhood, becoming an empty nester, divorce, and a rich former professional life as a social worker, designer, and small business owner. These experiences have influenced her empathy and her commitment to supporting others in exploring their own growth and self-understanding.

As a woman of mixed Mexican American descent, Angelina’s lived experiences inform her awareness of intergenerational and cultural influences and the ways history, culture, and identity can shape personal narratives. She honors these layers within herself and those she works with, creating a space to explore experiences of challenge, resilience, and personal meaning.
Grounded in the principles of the Hakomi Method and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Angelina uses somatic and mindfulness-informed approaches to help clients notice their present-moment experiences and connect with their own awareness. Through EMDR, she supports clients in exploring past experiences safely and at their own pace, in a way that can complement their personal growth and sense of regulation. |
Angelina views psychotherapy as an opportunity for self-exploration, a process of understanding oneself beneath defenses, conditioning, and past experiences. She sees her role as a compassionate guide and witness, walking alongside clients as they explore what is meaningful to them and supporting their efforts toward insight, self-acceptance, and personal development.
Her work is relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed, grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself can provide a supportive environment for growth. Within this space, Angelina draws on cognition, intuition, awareness, emotion, empathy, curiosity, and attuned presence to invite clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and reflective way.
