Sena comes to the field of psychotherapy after working with kids and teens in school for over 20 years. She worked from preschool through middle school, special education and offering of after school programs. During this time, Sena watched how often people needed advocates to help them maneuver specific emotional issues that arise when encountering struggles in one’s life. She realized that the strategy of “toughing through it alone” does not always work and realized she wanted to be a landing place for those who don’t wish to take that path of aloneness.
Sena has a very open, curious, empathetic and kind personality in working with clients. She utilizes mindfulness practices, blended with a pragmatic, solution, strength based approaches to address strong emotions and challenges. She strives to develop a friendly, creative space that utilizes both humor and empathy. She works with clients in their quest for wholeness and provide a place for them to being truly seen. She believes that through being seen and accompanies the path to healing can exist and change, growth and movement can occur.
