Miya Moore-Felton, Ph.D., is a retired Air Force veteran who transitioned into the mental health field as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor in California. She is an Associate Professor of Community Mental Health at California Institute of Integral Studies. Miya is the founder and clinical director of Healing Spot Counseling Center Inc. This non-profit community mental health agency provides counseling services across California and facilitates the professional development of mental health professionals in training. She has taught in counseling and psychology programs in the United States and Ukraine.

Her expertise includes military issues, trauma, and multiculturalism in advocacy and education. Miya has held leadership positions in professional organizations, including American Mental Health Counseling Association's Counseling Compact Multicultural & Social Justice and Counseling Compact committee member, past president of the East Bay Chapter of CAMFT, and Alpha Omega Lambda - Chi Sigma Iota Awards committee chair. She has also served as a liaison to the Board of Behavioral Sciences for military members and their spouses, demonstrating her commitment to supporting the military community through mental health services.
