how we work
The therapists at Heart in Balance largely utilize integrative approaches to psychotherapy, with the goal of bringing the intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of a person into more healthy balance. We work with individuals, couples, and families, with the underlying belief that the unique and personal relationship which develops between the therapist and the client is what facilitates growth and change.
In addition to using traditional talk therapy, our therapists incorporate non-verbal and non-analytic perspectives in working with clients' concerns, including Yoga Therapy, Art & Play Therapy, Authentic Movement, EFT, Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness, Hakomi, Diamond Heart, Journal Writing, and Dream Work.
