Erica has felt drawn to the field of psychology since her teenage years. It was during this time she started to become more aware of her own identity, as a twin. She began to realize that, though we have similarities, each of us have our own unique perceptions of the world. She became more and more curious about how others perceive the world both around and within themselves. Erica is a native of the Bay Area and has developed a close connection to its community through years of coaching soccer and working in the public schools. Her experience sitting with others, through these varied forms, has given her insight and compassion for those who seek therapy.
Erica believes that the client, not the therapist, is the expert of their own life. She brings a calm, caring and focused presence in following the lead of the client while in therapy. She uses her intuitive and heart-feltapproach to ensure a pace in which the client feels comfortable and safe to explore the depth of their experiences. Erica understands that pain is a natural emotion and part of the human experience. She believes by listening to oneself, and being in connection, with another, healingcan occur.
