Daniel offers warmth and connection to his clients. In the therapeutic process, he maintains that humor and laughter is deeply and profoundly healing. Daniel utilizes a holistic lens in his therapeutic work. His approach integrates the power of mindfulness, as well as other traditions, modalities and theories, to help people cultivate greater self-awareness and develop insight.
Daniel believes that healing happens when we when we can let go of limiting beliefs about ourselves and the world. He aims at helping people make sense of their past, to notice how the past shows up in the present moment, and to ultimately experience a sense of freedom from it. Daniel believes it is important to acknowledge how stigma and oppression affect people.
Daniel focuses on the here-and-now experience in addition to an individual’s personal narratives and life stories. His intention is to help clients find practices for personal growth that are in line with their interests and strengths. Daniel believes in the importance of being non-judgmental and giving clients permission to be themselves. |
Daniel identifies as a gay man and serving the LGBTQ community is important to him.
He incorporates spirituality, particularly spiritual practices that focus on insight and self-understanding. He has over a decade of experience working as a public health nurse with vulnerable and under-served populations in SF and Oakland.

He incorporates spirituality, particularly spiritual practices that focus on insight and self-understanding. He has over a decade of experience working as a public health nurse with vulnerable and under-served populations in SF and Oakland.
