AboutHeart in Balance is a non-profit counseling center, formed in 2004, by co-founder Patricia E. Craven, who is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and an adjunct faculty member at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, California. She previously worked as the Director of Mental Health Services at the Pacific Center for Human Growth, and currently serves as the Executive Director at Heart in Balance. She has over 35 years of experience working in the field of healing and psychotherapy.

Vision and commitmentHeart in Balance’s vision and commitment is to provide an environment in which individuals, couples and families can find support and resources for personal growth and healing in their lives, at affordable fees. This vision has come to realization through a variety of programs and services. Through our programs we bring into the community many talented counselors and therapists, supervised and trained by licensed therapists.

What we provideWe provide integrative approaches to working with a diverse community of clients and programs. Our therapists are Registered Marriage Family Therapist Associates, Registered Professional Clinical Counseling Associates and Trainees in Practicum, who possess a broad range of approaches experience and perspectives. We provide both short and long-term psychotherapy to individuals, couples, family, children, and adolescents. We make sessions available with affordable and sliding scale fees.
