“The one thing you can control is how you treat yourself. And that one thing can change everything”
Ridhi embraces her work with clients believing the following: “Life holds a spectrum of experiences, some easily understandable and others require more inquiry.” Throughout her life, Ridhi has noticed that often some of those experiences, the negative ones, such as sadness, anger, hurt, fear are quickly shunned away. The lack of attention to these experiences, and a person’s responses to them, snowballs and develops into symptoms of pain. This pain is an indicator of an unmet need and suffering surfaces, when there is great resistance to that pain. She believes the pain affects all aspects of being—the body, the mind, the heart, the relationship and the soul.
Ridhi brings her compassion, deep listening, consistency and creativity to explore with the client their concerns. Her skills allow the client to locate and/or gain inner strength and resources. Sometimes it will involve facing some deep, painful and confusing experiences. Ridhi’s warmth and presence provides understanding and emotional tracking, thus allowing the client to feel safe and supported on their healing journey.
Ridhi’s main approach to therapy is Client Centered. She works collaboratively with the client to develop goals that fit uniquely to their personality, identity and specific issues. In addition, she utilizes concepts from, and her trainings in, the Enneagram Personality System. This often helps her better understand the client’s perspectives and to help them more deeply understand themselves and those around them.
